Check the scooter with your ordinary life in mind. Lift it off the side stand, use the centre stand, sit in the pillion position and inspect the fuel-filler location. Small inconveniences repeat frequently.
Service access and parts availability deserve the same attention as features. A connected display is pleasant; a nearby workshop that can solve a problem on Monday morning is valuable.
